24.1. "Don't Overrun Due Date" - Slack Time

Concerning Forward Planning:

We determine the "Slack Time" as the time between the last task finish
date and the due date milestone. If this is "negative", then the deadline (or
milestone, or due date) has been missed. So, for this reason let's add an-
other column. We'll call this column "Slack Time".

As you already know, concerning columns, their type is important. Here it is "Text/Number", since we
want to calculate with it.

Then here we write there a simple formula, just a simple subtraction operation.

But before we perform this, we have to pay close attention, to make sure the hierarchy of the tasks
(parents, sub-parents, tasks, …) as well the predecessors, are correct set. For that matter, please watch
closely the next screenshot concerning the case study.
